Worship Coordinator

Are you a music leader who can transform our Sunday services from good to genuinely engaging? Can you can build, coach, and coordinate a team that creates worship experiences people actually want to participate in?

Our recent congregation survey was clear: the music needs work. We're not looking for a performer; we're looking for someone who can build, coach, and coordinate a team that creates worship experiences people actually want to participate in.

What you’ll own:

Music and team leadership

·         Build and rehearse the music team (vocalists, piano, guitar, drums, clarinet)

·         Create song lists that fit our service and sermon themes

·         Coach team members who range from seasoned to still-learning

·         Handle the practical stuff: rosters, rehearsals, equipment

Service planning and coordination

·         Work with our pastors and worship leaders to plan services that engage hearts, minds and spirits

·         Manage the AV team and coordinate all the moving parts of Sunday morning

·         Oversee sermon recording and online sharing

·         Keep our music library organised and current

What you bring:

·         Musical competence: You can lead a rehearsal, arrange songs for our instrumentation, and know good music when you hear it

·         People skills: You can coach volunteers, handle sensitive feedback, and build team culture

·         Organisational ability: Capacity to handle the details that make things work smoothly

·         Collaborative approach: You'll work closely with pastors and existing worship leaders, not replace them

·         Alignment with our values: You're comfortable in a Baptist environment that welcomes all people
