Children's Ministry
Tash joined the pastoral team in May 2008. She first felt called to pastoral ministry during a trip to Cambodia in 2003. Her desire to better understand this calling led her to complete a one-year ‘Metamorf’ Internship with Youth Dimension in 2004.
From there she felt God directing her towards Melbourne University’s Bachelor of Early Childhood Education to gain experience and further her passion for working with children. She is set to finish her degree in 2009 and apply the skills she has learnt and developed in her position at Ashburton.
Tash has spent the past eight years at Heathmont Baptist Church involved in many different types of ministry from Sunday-school programs, youth leadership and discipleship, to camps and schools outreach. Tash has a keen interest in cross-cultural mission that has led to a deep involvement with Global Interaction and the development of a Global Kids Camp. The camp explores different cultures of the world and how God is present in them.
Tash is married to Matt, who is a secondary school music teacher. She also enjoys catching up with friends over a good meal or coffee.
