Rev Ron Ham

Ron was born in Melbourne, and from childhood attended the Balwyn Baptist Church. He spent a year at Black Hill Church in Ballarat as a Student Pastor before starting his initial theological training at Whitley College. He continued his study abroad at Union Theological Seminary in New York.
Ron was minister of the Ashburton Baptist Church from 1966-1973. After four years as minister of the Central Baptist Church in Sydney and five years as Lecturer in Theology at the NSW Baptist College, he began 13 years as Senior Minister at Collins Street Baptist Church in Melbourne in 1981. In 1994 he moved into semi-retirement, and rejoined the pastoral team part-time at Ashburton Baptist.
Ron is married to Jan, who teaches VCE English at RMIT Tafe College. They have two adult children with three adorable grandchildren whom they love spending time with. They also enjoy reading and strolling down to the Docklands to watch Melbourne Victory play soccer.
