Facilities at Ashburton Baptist

The facilities at Ashburton Baptist have developed in several stages over its 70 year history, from a small wooden hall in Marquis Street to the modern buildings that exist today. During the last redevelopment, considerable thought was given to those with disability, resulting in the inclusion of wheel chair access to the buildings, accessible toilet facilities, plus enhancement of the hearing induction loop for the hearing impaired.

The Church also has a memorial garden set aside for interment of the cremated ashes of deceased persons.

Facilities Hire

The Church centre and facilities are available for hire, subject to use by regular groups, and are suitable for meetings and small functions.

Rooms available include the Sanctuary, a kitchen suitable for catering to a large group, a Café area, Hall, meeting rooms and a Lounge. The church is adjacent to a large public car park and close to public transport.
